A group of police officers there have been accused of kidnapping three Korean tourists late last year, taking them to their station and forcing them to pay just under $6,000 for their release.
Luckily for everyone, the incident not only ended without bloodshed, it was also captured on CCTV and has led to the officers facing trial in court. Just goes to show, there are certain countries where the threat of kidnap and ransom is not only ubiquitous but also pervasive.
