CFC, the specialist insurance provider, pioneer in emerging risk and market leader in cyber, has announced the appointment of Dharini Patel and Lisa Sumner as joint marketing directors.
“We have big plans for CFC and as we take the next steps on our growth journey, it is more important than ever that we invest in our global brand,” said CFC Group CEO, Louise O’Shea.

This is an opportunity to take stock of the successes of our 25-year history and explore how we will continue serving brokers’ and clients’ needs for the next 25 years. All while providing our marketing team the leadership to achieve these ambitions. Louise O’Shea
“I couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Dharini and Lisa and look forward to working together as we take the CFC brand to new heights," continued O'Shea.
The partnership marks the first ever senior job share at CFC and comes at an exciting time of expansion for the business.
Patel and Sumner bring a wealth of expertise across the entire marketing function, which will play a crucial part in streamlining activities and positioning CFC for its next stage of global growth.
O’Shea added “we are excited to adopt this job share model which is new for us and illustrates CFC’s commitment to creating an environment where talent can thrive. It feels like we are benefitting from double the experience and double the creativity!”
Patel and Sumner join CFC from Travelers Europe, a property casualty insurer, where they first established their partnership as heads of marketing. Together they led the function for 5 years, overseeing all strategic activity for brand, events, campaigns and marketing communications. Patel’s previous experience includes vice president marketing at BlackRock, while Sumner previously worked as communications and marketing director at AXA XL.
Commenting on the new role, Patel said: “CFC is a pioneer in the insurance space, and I’m thrilled to be joining at such a pivotal time. This role is a fantastic opportunity to help shape the brand’s future while embracing a progressive approach to leadership. Lisa and I have seen firsthand the power of collaboration, and we’re excited to bring that dynamic to CFC as we drive the next stage of growth.” Sumner continued: “CFC has built an incredible reputation over the past 25 years, and we’re looking forward to building on that strong foundation. This is a brand with a strong vision, fantastic culture, and a marketing team full of talent. We are excited to work alongside them to elevate CFC’s presence globally and reinforce its position as a leader in the market.”
