CFC, the specialist insurance provider, pioneer in emerging risk and market leader in cyber, announced today that Kathryn Herrington has joined the business as chief people officer.
“As our team of incredibly talented individuals continues to grow around the world, we are committed to creating an environment in which they can thrive,” said Louise O’Shea, Group CEO, CFC. “I am delighted to welcome Kathryn to our executive team, ensuring we deliver on this commitment and supporting CFC leaders across the world to drive our people-focused initiatives throughout the business.
Kathryn is passionate about the role HR can play in helping drive organisational outcomes through an effective talent strategy, great leadership development and a focus on culture. She cares deeply about people and will bring valuable expertise that ensures our people continue to love what they do as part of CFC’s exciting growth journey.
With over 25 years’ experience building high performing teams in financial services and technology, most recently she was Chief People Officer at SUSE, a private equity backed B2B software company. With both public and private market expertise, Kathryn previously spent a decade at CLS, the world’s leading provider of FX settlement solutions. She has also held senior HR roles across a range of global financial institutions including Merrill Lynch, Bank of America and HSBC, in both London and New York.
Commenting on her new role, Kathryn added: “CFC is an exciting business on an impressive growth trajectory. I’m thrilled to be working with Louise and the executive team to embed a performance-based culture that empowers teams, nurtures talent and drives the organisation’s goals. Building on the strong foundation already in place, I’m excited to be able to support the company’s future growth, ensuring our people also grow with it—motivated, engaged, and ready to lead us into the future."
A global insurance business with sophisticated capabilities spanning underwriting and claims, technology and innovation, cyber security and incident response and more, CFC was one of the first in the market to offer cyber insurance. The business has expanded to offer more than 50 products across 20 different classes of insurance with a particular focus on emerging risks for SME businesses brought on by the intersection of technology and industry.
