Rachel Stauffer, Vice President, McDermott+
Rachel is a highly experienced government relations and legislative affairs strategist and advocate who is informed by a solid foundation of health policy knowledge and years working as a leading health policy aide on Capitol Hill and in the Executive Branch, and as an advisor to a variety of clients.
Prior to joining M+, Rachel was the director of government affairs for a leading virtual care company. She led efforts to build the profile of the organization in a fast-moving, innovative policy and regulatory environment encompassing issues related to primary care and behavioral and mental health services provided via virtual care, as well as medical professional licensing, privacy, and security. She also previously served as the director of policy and government relations for a health IT contractor, where she developed the company’s first strategic plan for government relations.

Kaitlyn O’Connor, Esq., Partner at Nixon Gwilt Law
Kaitlyn O'Connor specializes in digital health, telehealth, veterinary telemedicine, remote care management, and HIPAA compliance. She provides legal, regulatory, and business guidance to healthcare providers across the spectrum of care, as well as early-stage companies and vendors serving the healthcare industry.
A magna cum laude graduate of Syracuse University, Kaitlyn earned her J.D. from William & Mary Law School, where she served as a member of the Business Law Review. She is an Advisory Board Member for the VCU Innovation Gateway Commercialization Fund and member of the Connected Health Initiative (CHI), the Reproductive Justice Working Group with the Law Firm Anti-racism Alliance ("LFAA"), the American Telemedicine Association, and the International Virtual Reality in Healthcare Association (IVRHA).
Recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star for four consecutive years, Kaitlyn was also named to the 2023 Virginia Business Legal Elite list in Health Law.

As Executive Vice President and CTO of Solis, Chris Loehr oversees the day-to-day operations of the firm’s Incident Response teams. With over 25 years of leadership experience in designing and delivering cybersecurity and IT operational strategies for the financial industry, Chris is passionate about assisting small and medium-sized organizations through difficult cyber-attacks. Chris’s primary platform is ensuring that organizations understand that cybersecurity is a key business risk and must be treated and respected as such.

Yes! We'll be providing all meals throughout the entire event. There will be lunch and dinner provided on November 20th, and there will be breakfast and lunch provided on November 21st.
The fun begins after check-in on November 20th at Austin Proper with lunch at 1pm, followed by our sessions throughout the afternoon, and finishing off with dinner and drinks. We'll continue on November 21st with breakfast & morning sessions starting at 9:30am and close out our retreat with a fun afternoon activity expecting to finish at 5pm.
Yes, each guest will have a lovely room included for a 1-night stay! Check-in is on November 20th and check-out is on November 21st. If you need to extend your accommodation dates due to travel please email us at marketing@cfc.com.
