Insurance: the dinner date turn off?

Andy Holmes, Chief Executive Officer, CFC

Insurance has a bad public rep. And don’t we know it! For those of us who work in the industry, the moment we dread at a dinner party or on a dinner date is when we’re asked “what do you do for a living?”. But does it have to be this way, or do we as the first tech-enabled insurance generation have a unique chance to improve our dinner dates?

Cyber: The greatest missed opportunity

Lindsey Nelson, Cyber Development Leader, CFC

The digital revolution has changed the way we think about business exposures around the world, as crime has shifted from the physical world to the electronic.  Equally, cyber-attacks are happening at a greater frequency and severity than ever before to businesses of all sizes.  Cyber products are broader than they have been to meet the need of the customer, more accessible than ever through streamlined and digital underwriting processes and working tirelessly to prevent global threats for businesses.

Yet, less than 10% of businesses outside the US purchase a Cyber policy.  Where have we gone wrong – and crucially, how do we change it?

Cyber Development Leader, Lindsey Nelson, will critically evaluate the Cyber market growth headlines, share what we need to discontinue as an industry if we want to increase penetration rates, and importantly – discuss what our most successful cyber partners are doing around the world to sell one of the most important insurance products clients will buy today.
