CFC, the specialist insurance provider and pioneer in emerging risk, today announced a major new feature of its award-winning mobile app, Response, which now allows users to activate vital cybersecurity tools, such as deep scanning and dark web monitoring, with a single click.
“The often-complex process of signing up to and configuring cybersecurity tools has historically been a barrier for small businesses wishing to access these services,” said CFC’s Chief Innovation Officer, Graeme Newman. “Our single-click enablement process makes these high value, vital tools easy to implement and truly accessible to micro and small businesses across every industry.”
Cybersecurity tools now available include dark web monitoring, which scours the dark web for information relating to a business, including stolen corporate login credentials and other breaches of sensitive data associated with the company’s domain name.

CFC is also offering a deep scanning service, which actively scans for vulnerabilities deep within policyholders’ computer systems. Both tools use a combination of proprietary, commercial, and open-source threat intelligence technology.
“Since its launch last autumn, thousands of our policyholders have downloaded Response and we are already seeing a positive impact on cyber claims both in terms of frequency and severity,” Newman continued. “We believe this is thanks to our continued investment in Response and the in-house threat intelligence, incident response, and claims teams that sit behind it.”
CFC’s popular Response app provides proactive security alerts to customers based on information CFC’s threat intelligence team gathers through its continuous monitoring of the entire customer base. It also allows users to get free advice from CFC’s large in-house cybersecurity team through an “Ask the Expert” function, and quickly notify any cyber incidents for immediate technical support. The company plans on adding more services to the new tools section in the coming months.
