CFC picks up Insurance Insider Honours award with eHealth product

Our insurance solution for digital healthcare was awarded Underwriting Initiative of the Year at yesterday's awards

Digital healthcare News 2 min 18 Sept, 2020

Awarded for initiatives that have increased the size and scope of the market, challenged the status quo, and pushed the limits of traditional insurability, we're incredibly proud that our eHealth product claimed the Underwriting Initiative of the Year title at last night's Insurance Insider Honours.

Digital healthcare is transforming the way healthcare providers treat patients and develop cures – from AI-powered chatbots to remote patient monitoring and interactive telemedicine services delivered via mobile health apps. This transformation is also rapidly changing the risk landscape for insurers, who now face the collision of traditional healthcare and new-technology exposures.

Our team developed a policy which addresses the digital health industry’s unique risk profile. Unambiguous in its coverage intent, it bundles together key covers including:

  • Medical malpractice (arising from healthcare services, technology activities and cyber events)
  • Technology E&O
  • Products failing to perform
  • Cyber and privacy
  • General liability, employers’ liability and legal expenses

We're proud of what this team has achieved and are pleased to serve this rapidly evolving industry.

Last night's awards also offered a couple of bonus surprises for us. In the Young Claims Professional of the Year and MGA of the Year categories, CFC's Tom Bennett and CFC as whole, respectively, were "highly commended" by the judges.

Thank you to Insurance Insider, who hosted a truly fantastic virtual event - always a difficult task - and to our brokers, backers, and friends in the industry. You're the best!
